we are back from holiday travel and slowly recovering...
...recovering from being absent from real life for 10 days...

...recovering from the freezing temps and wicked snow storms of northern Utah (don't think I'll be moving back any time soon)......recovering from 30 hours of travel around the western U.S....
...recovering from nasty illnesses that plagued all 3 of us (cold/cough and flu)...
...recovering from too much family fun...
...recovering from a major traffic jam that left us stagnant on I-15 for over an hour, turning our 10 hour drive into 12 (all while sitting in a vomit smelling car...my poor little guy tossed his cookies)... 
...recovering from too many holiday treats and goodies...
...recovering from too many late nights spent building gingerbread houses, playing games, watching movies, attending a Jazz game and the Nutcracker...
...recovering from a competitive game of ping-pong which resulted in a large lump on the forehead and 2 black eyes...
...and now recovering from numerous loads of laundry and other household chores, not to mention, I haven't taken my Christmas decorations down (don't judge me)...

holy ping pong balls! hope it didn't hurt too badly. What fun times: the jazz AND the nutcracker. Crappy about the traffic and the cold. Glad you are back and getting into the swing of normal life. Blogland has missed you!
to clarify...it was the paddle not the ball that made contact with Jack's head.
Who was on the other end of that paddle? That is some serious bruising and swelling. Poor kid. Has the bruising gone away yet?

Andrew had severe head trauma too, down the wood stairs backwards on his tricycle! At least his was covered up by his hair.

Wow!!! I had to have Dan come in & check out Jack's forehead. Hopefully he's doing much better, as well as the rest of you.

That is AMAZING! I'm not sure I've ever seen a bruise quite like that. That is what memories are made of!
Jack's face really got nailed. Geez... I am glad he is okay. Is that Dave's girlfriend? She is cute. Is he going to get married before Lance, Bob, and Dougie?
that's some nasty ping pong playin'. I would love to get in on that.

this is mean but i am laughing my butt off. that is so funny. we have had our share of physical trauma with james and it is just plain funny seeing someone else deal with it.

Poor buddy!!! looks like it had to have hurt! Glad ya'll are recovering from the holidays! It is hard to get back into the swing of things. I'm suffering from a big case of the "lazies" and have lots to do, so I feel your pain, sista! Glad you had good holidays!
