...
crawling out from under my rock to update the world that we are still alive. photos of thanksgiving, the air show, new moon party/over-nighter and much more to follow as soon as they are edited (trying to get my Blurb book completed). we returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving in No Cal with Aaron's family and I turned off all technology for a few days to get my wits about me and prepare for Christmas. I can hardly believe it is that time of year again (and does anyone else think it is freezing? I don't remember being this cold last year). There is so much I have wanted to do to get the season rolling by December 1st, but we have been scheduled to the max this week with 2 birthday parties and play dates for Jack, and a illnesses- baby girl has her first ear infection. I feel so bad for her. We started the month off with an attempt to visit Santa @ Bass Pro Shop but lost Jack instead. It was the first time we have lost him and I was sick with fear and worry. this was a HUGE sporting goods store with water features for him to fall into and fishing hooks to get caught on. We had all the employees looking for him. It was only a few minutes, but it seemed like a life time. The scariest part was he was not even frightened that he was lost. Apparently he was shopping for some swimming batons. Santa will be bringing Safety Kids to our house this year.
This year we are staying home from Christmas and will travel for New Year's. I am so excited to celebrate it with my little family and not have to transport all the gifts. Because we are staying here, I have more of a desire to bake holiday goodies and create holiday decorations. the first of many holiday parties begin tonight (our ward party and Aaron's work party). Looks like Aaron will be going solo to his work party as I stay home and pop some popcorn and watch a holiday movie with my little man and sick baby girl. the tree will be trimmed this weekend. My advent calender is almost completed (5 days late). Stockings are next (put them together last year only to realize I did it all wrong, so I have to rip out the stitching and start all over). and then maybe I'll think about Christmas cards. leaning towards scarping them entirely this year. or maybe a New Year's card instead. but for now, I'm off to clean the bathrooms.

nice to have you back. I am scrapping the cards for the 2nd year in a row. Made them but then decided I don't want to spend the money nor the effort of writing all the address. So it is going on the blog for all to see and in an email.
sorry about kate...we are clear of it all here.
i am feeling swamped too. bought the take out containers for advent calendar. hope i get to it with all my sewing.
